Biological treatment of highly concentrated wastes - by intensive aeration developing heat for anaerobic digestion tank

In a multi-stage biological treatment of highly conc. waste, e.g. from sugar refineries, preserve factories or animal farms, the first stage uses an enclosed and heated digestion tank. The second stage includes an activated sludge tank, concentric to the first, in which intensive aeration raises the temp. of the mixt. Its surplus heat is used to heat the surrounding digestion tank contents. The result is a low-cost process of high functional reliability which utilises the heat developed during finely dispersed aeration by friction and by biological reactions for raising the digestion tank temp.
