<p>The worm conveyor has only its first portion (10), where the material to be conveyed is received, rigidly secured to the drive shaft (12) whilst the shaft does not extend into the remaining part (13) of the worm. The worm is formed as a helical spring and consists of a resilient spring material. The free end is contained within a flexible plastics tube (18). The shaft (12) may be carried in a bearing (17) arranged at one end (15) of a rigid tube (1j) around the portion (10). The tube (14) carries a T-piece (21) with filler opening (20) and downwardly extending conical hopper (22).</p> |
