Power generator using energy of sea waves - has float anchored to sea bed in position below water surface

Energy of sea waves is used by an elongate float (1) anchored to the sea bed by links (2, 3, 4) which allow the float to oscillate pref. in the direction of its length. The float lies below the water surface. The immersion of the float may be between six and twenty metres. The float may have a length approx. equal to half the length of the water waves and may be restrained to move horizontally in a straight line.
