The collector has a plate-form absorber which consists of two similarly deformed metal sheets of high strength. The sheets are displaced relative to each other at right angles to the direction of profile, so that there are only line-like contact points between them. The sheets are separated by channels. The two sheets may be corrugated, or beaded and are welded or soldered to each other at the contact points.
