<p>The gas fired room heating furnace uses combustion air at atmospheric pressure. The primary air, in excess of stoichiometric ratio for combustion, is supplied to the burner tube while secondary air supply is closed. Secondary air is supplied only while the furnace is started up, directly into the combustion chamber. The supply opening is closed after the furnace has been started by a bimetallic stop. Primary air excess is about one third of that required for stoichiometric combustion.</p> |
