The protective device is fitted inside the car at head height and consists of a transparent pad which can be also tinted to act as a sun visor. The transparent material can be either built up from clear foils or a double skin of plastic transparent sheet filled with a gas or a liquid. The pad is fitted in such a position as not to obstruct the driver's vision.
