The length of material for roof sealing serves both for sealing flat or sloping roofs and for providing insulation from heat or cold. It is made of bitumen-ethylene-copolymerisate, with an insulating mat of basically mineral fibres. On one lengthways side and one transverse side the sealing strip is 3 - 5 cm wider than the mat, for welding during the laying process. The strips may be firmly cemented onto the insulating mats, at the place of manufacture. This enables an effective entity to be prefabricated.
