Petal for electronic organ - has parallelogram linkage to maintain pedal motion and uses felt pads to reduce wear

An electronic organ pedal mechanism is designed to minimise wear and to exhibit high fatigue resistance. The pedal is formed by a V section bar (4) that is pivoted (6) in a bracket (8) that is secured to back plate (2). A coil spring (14) provides a return action for the pedal. Extremes of pedal motion are limited by blocks (10, 12) with felt pads (11, 13) to reduce wear. A parallelogram (19), pinned at each end (18, 20) maintains the correct movement of the pedal.
