<p>A plane to clean the hearth of commercial baking ovens consists of a cast iron or steel block with a cavity on one side. A suction tube at the other side can be connected to the suction tube of a large vacuum cleaner. Two of the sides of the block are fitted with adjustable scraper blades which can be raised and lowered in elongated slots. The crust, broken off by the scraper blades, is removed by suction from the oven. This saves the manual labour of scraping the baking oven hearths clean.</p> |
