<p>The machine to chop material into staple fibres uses a cutting wheel with a number of cutting blades on it, each held between butts in an exchangeable blade mounting. The blade mounting is a butt held rigidly in the cutting wheel and a butt mounted as an independent component held in the blade mounting. The blade mounting is located in a guide of the cutting wheel, and so locked that the projecting cutting blade ranges into the fixed butt. The design allows worn blades to be replaed individually, simply and rapidly.</p> |
