Road tunnel with exhaust passage along bottom - having slot whose edges are sprung together to grip vehicle exhaust pipe

The road tunnel has an exhaust passage running in its axial direction, and guide flanks for both freely steerable and guided vehicles. The passage (2) runs below the vehicles, and has a continuous slot (4) in its top, open towards the vehicles above it (7). The slot can have a sealing profiled section each side. The sections are spring-loaded together with a force insufficient to distort the vehicle exhaust pipe (3) protruding through it into the passage.
