The parent patent described the breaking up of moulding sand nodules from moulding boxes in a V-shaped grate to which vibrators are attached. The container surrounding the grate which holds the sand nodules is now also equipped with vibrators which reciprocate it in a vertical plane. This intensifies the mutual movement of the sand nodules and improves the degree of fragmentation.
