The therapeutic device for improving the action of the legs etc. of a young child, is fitted to the shoes (4). This consists of a resilient rail or strip (1) secured by screws (3) to foot support pads (2) one each end. The resilience of the rail ensures that movement of the legs is due only to the muscular force exerted by the child. The rail can be of flexible steel or a plastics material. Alternatively it can be of plastics coated steel.
