A device is used for milling out circular holes in pipe walls uses a milling tool pivoting along an arc. This tool (15) is movable around its pivot axis in a full circle (D), and can be displaced parallel to that axis. A copying mechanism (11) is provided, coupled to the milling tool (15), and supported on the wall of the pipe (R) being machined. Both tool (15) and copier (11) can be adjusted relatively to each other parallel to the pivot axis. The milling tool (15) is fitted on a slide (7) movable parallel to the pivot axis towards the wall of the tube (R) being machined. It can also be adjusted by a hand wheel (6) radially to the pivot axis.
