Rigid flat surface elements are fitted on either side on to flexible support material to permit them firstly to be folded into the smallest possible space for transportation and secondly permit their being unfolded into shape. The arrangement of the individual surfaces depends on the smallest feasible packed fold. The edges not connected during the fold are connected by an additional element made of the same material as the support which then takes over the function of the flexible support. To stabilise the normal use folds a corner profile is slid into the edges.
