Furniture door hinge with spring tumbler - has shank end braced against housing abutment at end of movement

The furniture hinge has a housing for letting into a recess in one piece. There is an arm fixable on another piece, two intervening fishplates on hinge pins, and a tumbler device in the form of a shank spring enclosing the pin in the closed position when it plunges into the housing. The housing (2) is fitted with an abutment (16). In the last stage of its opening movement the shank end (12) of the spring (11) which extends into the housing is supported against this, likewise in the first stage of closing. the abutment is sited adjacent to the top hinge pin (6) which is fixed to the housing, and pref. between the pins (6, 9). This prevents the door from being forced open under spring action.
