Composite container assembly for flowable, especially pasty materials e.g. mustard, mayonnaise, or finely divided solids, comprises 2 containers such as bags, sachets or pouches, with deformable walls, which communicate by means of a flexible connecting duct. Containers and connecting duct are arranged upon a rigid base plate designed to fracture near the connecting duct. The base plate doubles as the underside of the duct. The walls of containers and duct are made of plastics film e.g. polyethylene or polypropylene. The base plate is made of polystyrene.
