An ice cream portioning tool has a square cylinder with a handle by which ice cream cubes can be cut out. A sliding piston inside the cylinder is moved forward by hand against a pressure spring or by a pistol grip lever to expel the portion. The piston is filled with water so that the higher temp. facilitates the cube expulsion. This saves the scraping into semispherical spoons and speeds up the dispensing of ice cream portions.
