Sugar beet roller grizzly - with hammer head scrapers revolving in gaps of discs

A roller grizzly for the cleaning of sugar beet consists of several parallel shafts with rotating discs which intermesh. To remove adhering soil and leaves, hexagon shafts are arranged under the disc shafts. They carry cleaning scrapers which enter into the gap between the discs. This keeps the roller grizzly operational, independent of whether the sugar beet was harvested from stony or loamy fields.
