The machine comprises a self- propelled vehicle 1 provided with driven endless tracks 2, which moves on the sea bed 3, which is driven locally by an operator 6 and carries a winch attached by a cable to a digging tool 13. The vehicle and the digging tool are advanced alternately with one unit always remaining stationary when the other unit is being advanced. Preferably the vehicle is coupled a slide way 7, which is mounted to pivot about an axis z z1. The machine is provided with a carriage 11 moving along the slide way 7, which carries a digging tool 13, for example a ploughshare. The carriage 11 is hooked on to a cable 15 which is wound on a releasable winch 16. The machine is for sinking of submarine cables into a muddy ground. <IMAGE> |
