The mechanism separates the lowermost sheet from a stack in a stationary magazine, having a support table and a rotary indexing suction body moving together under the stack. The body rolls over the lowermost sheet, lifting it clear and transfers to a delivery point. The table is of the roller type (2) rotating on an axis parallel to the side of the stack, and the body is a round truncated cone (13) mounted in the table. The mazazine (A, B) above the table with the stack of sheets can be in such a position in relation to the rotary body that this separates a sheet starting from one corner.
