A pipe union comprises a socket element in which a pipe is housed and which is associated with an extension piece guiding and pusher which surrounds the pipe. A malleable ring is interposed around the pipe, inside the extension piece, between the end of the pusher and the socket. A peg prevents any relative rotation between the pusher and the extension piece while one moves forward relative to the other. The union is fluid-tight at high pressures and under vacuum and is flexible and resistant to corrosion e.g. by uranium hexafluoride and to high temps. It is simple, raoid to manipulate and demands no special precautions such as more expensive existing fittings do require.
