The outlet valve is for attachment to a base opening for a toilet flush or washing water container in a railway passenger coach, mounted between roof and ceiling, with a Bowden-cable operated, spring-held valve tappet. The valve cup (19) is fitted at the end of an intake pipe (18) connected to the tank base opening (12), flanged onto the tank (11). The sealing unit (25) is at the end of the spring-loaded (28) tappet (31), acting on the intake pipe end face. The Bowden cable is directly connected to the tappet. This is inexpensive, with no elaborate cast components and no seals subject to rapid wear; it remans operable if ice forms, and less effort is needed to open the valve.
