<p>The liquid medium for reducing the freezing point of water consists of a mixt. of lower and higher alcohols contg. a salt such as metal salt, for example Ca chloride, Cl-Mg, urea, or NaCl. The addn. of salt to the alcohol mixt. reduces the freezing pt. further and the medium is suitable for removing ice deposited on the surface of coolers, and freezers.</p> |
