The cooling trap is mounted immediately in the vessel and the coolant supply to the cooling trap is interrupted before or during the airing of the vessel. The cooling trap warms up during this period to a temperature at which further condensation during the airing period is prevented. When the evacuation process has been started again, coolant is again supplied to the cooling trap.
