<p>Fibrous material, wholly or partly of cellulose, is dyed with a mono- or disazo dyestuff of formula (I): (where R1, Y1 and Y2 are the same or different; Y1 and Y2 = H, 1-4 C alkyl or alkoxy, or halogen; R1 = H, halogen, 1-4 C alkyl or alkoxy, or halogen; m= 1 or 2; B = opt. substd. gp. of the benzene, naphthalene, diphenyl or benzimidazolone series). Process comprises applying (I) dissolved in aq. alkaline soln. to the fibre, and fixing by acid treatment under acid pH conditions.</p> |
