PURPOSE:To ensure excellent, comfortable riding feeling even when the current of an armature varies due to the variation of the variation commond braking force of stringing voltage, by improving the series-parallel or parallel-series transition of motor groups, in an electric rolling stock with a plurality of motors. CONSTITUTION:In a device arranged in such a manner that a plurality of motors are divided into two groups and two groups of motors are connected in parallel at high speed and in series at low speed during regeneration brake, the desirable target can be attained by varying the opening period of contactors P, G for bridge transition by the dimensions of values detected by means of an armature current detector originally installed. If a cam shaft controller CA is located at a parallel stage P position, the contact C1 is in OFF, the contact C2 is in ON and the contactors P, G are excited, the current of an armature is large when advancing the controller CA to a series initial stage location a from the location P when parallel- series change-over. When a contact CPa of a current discriminator CP is in ON, the contactors P, G are continuously excited, and advance to a series location b. |
