The channel amplifier system consists of channel amplifiers each connected at its output via a channel-pass filter (1) to a shared signal bus (S) and by its input to a receive antenna. The output from each amplifier is prevented from passing the wrong way along the bus by a channel-stop filter (2). The channel-pass and channel-stop filters have the same effect as direction couplers.
