Stressing steel wire bundle wedge anchorage - has wings on form pieces describing smaller circle than unstressed wedges

The anchoring system is for bundles of stressing steel units made up from wires, using external wedges in conjunction with form pieces mounted in the anchoring area, in reinforced concrete construction. The form pieces (2) pass through to engage between individual steel units or groups with vanes (7). The circle described by these is smaller than the relevant circle described by the wedges (1) in the unstressed state. Form pieces and wedges are pref. of the same length, and the vanes narrow end faces may be rounded off. Wedges and form pieces may be harder than the wedge socket. Stressing units can be led into the wedge socket with min. deflection, and the bundles can be anchored in common.
