The refrigerated container has steel sheet walls and ceiling and is lined internally with several thicknesses of insulating non-inflammable material. The insulating material is mounted in rectangular steel frames made of Z-shaped sections of a height equal to the thickness of the material. The steel panels are flanged so as to hook together to form a wall and then welded into position along their longitudinal edges. The structure is supported by vertical stanchions (7) bolted onto a concrete base. The butting flanges of the steel panels give a triangular welding recess.
