Deck plate coupling for inflatable boat - has flexible tags formed around seam to transmit thrust

The rigid deck plates (1, 2) for the bottom of the inflatable boat are joined by special elastic inserts as a butt fitting and to transmit any thrust without disturbing the setting of the plates. The inserts are formed around a seam (3) set above the join and form a friction grip layer under one of the plates. The insert can be a T-shaped elastic moulded strip which is wedged between the plates. The plates are lifted out of the boat by gripping the raised seam.
