Track-laying vehicle track width changing mechanism - uses swivelling mechanism actuated by one or both chains travelling in opposite direction

The track width of the tracklaying vehicle is readily changed. The track is adjusted by a relatively simple mechanism without using high adjusting forces. The track chain support frames (2) are connected with the power plant and drive which carry the middle part by a parallel lever system (9) swivelling about vertical axes. With the middle part at a standstill the opposite direction driving of both track chains, or driving only one of the chains, pulls the track chain frames (2) towards the middle part of pushes away from it. Between the lever system (9) and the middle part is fitted a locking mechanism (14).
