The ball joint is not provided with a corrugated bellows. This ball joint is used in motor vehicles for steering linkage, suspension and springs and the ball joint is sealed against ingress of dirt. The ball joint has housing (1) with a bearing shell (2) made pref. of plastics with low coefficient of friction. The ball (3) is held in a spherical seat and provided with an electrolytically applied coating resistant to oxidation and corrosion. The seat has scraper edge (7) with inner edge contacting ball at an acute angle. |
