The connector is used between an actuating cable and sliding roof of a motor vehicle. The cable is linked to a sliding part within a guide profile. The driving cable is moulded integrally into the side projection (22) when the sliding block (16) is moulded of plastics. The fixed guide profile (12) has a guide profile for the sliding block and also with grooves on both sides for the projection (22).
