The sound-tape cassette storage device has a flexible closure part. It is guided displaceably like a roller blind into opposite guide slots (13) of the bearing face (11) and of the cover face (12). The closure part is pref. a plastics strip flexible in at least one bending direction. The guide slots may extend entirely over the closure face and an adjoining side wall and at least partly of the side wall adjoining it. The closure operates like a drawer.
