<p>The spider wheel sorts bottles or similar items, having a number of recesses. Each recess has a grip rotating with the wheel and movable in the plane in which the wheel rotates, between a retracted position clear of the reces into one protruding into the recess to hold the bottle in it. Each curved grip (18a, 18b) slides lengthwise in a guide on the wheel concentrically to the centre of its curve (19a, 19b). When engaged with the bottle (16), the grips can be opposite each other and close together.</p> |
