The adjustable-length walking crutch has an inner tube telescoping into an outer one and with two rows of holes in opposite sides for a locking pin passed through two opposite holes in the outer tube. The pin (12) is a quick-acting locking device (1) passed through the holes (8, 10) in inner and outer tubes (2, 3), and held in place by a clamping shell (6) fixed to one end and fitting part-way round the outer tube, acting as a clip. The shell can be a strip or bar with a gap at one point on the periphery, the pin being fixed to it at a point opposite this gap and extending towards it.
