Auxiliary drive motor for vehicles - has eccentric spring mass systems resonated by short duration electric impulses

The motor has a wheel with radial arms constructed as hollow cylinder. Their axes are tangential to a central hub. Each arm contains a piston rod with two pistons at opposite ends. A winding energised through a control circuit in the hub moves the pistons against a spring. Because of the eccentricity of the arms this movement produces rotation. After a brief interval the energising currents are broken. The initial movement produces resonance in the spring mass systems in the arms and this maintains the motion. After a further interval a fresh electric impulse can be applied to keep up the cycle of events.
