An open loop forms an anchoring section of a thread resembling natural hair. From the anchoring loop, elongated filaments extend, and these stand out from the surface of the skin, when the loop is implanted. The skin tissue grow through the loop so that at each implantation point, the filaments attached to the loop and to the skin are held securely. The hairlike thread is natural or synthetic but is pref. polyester or polyamide, and the loop is formed by an adhesive. The thread can be pulled out after breaking the bridge of the loop. The loop may form an integral part of the thread with its branches, and the secure holding which results, positively separates the outer from the inner section of the thread. If the implanted hair is dyed, subcutaneous penetration of the dyestuff is prevented.
|
