The arrangement is constructed with means employed in integrated optics. It contains a waveguide (1) whose ends (2, 3) are brought together in an interferometer arrangement, e.g. of the type of a Michelson interferometer. A launching device (12) guided along the track of the waveguide (1) provides launching of light energy into the waveguide (1). The component waves (23, 24) running in both directions of the waveguide (1), and their interaction in the interferometer arrangement permit the relative position of the launching arrangement to be determined. For the purpose of angular measurement, the waveguide (1) extends in a circular track and can be rotated together with the interferometer arrangement about the centre (M) of this circular track relative to the launching device (12). <IMAGE> |
