PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unfailingly prevent occurrence of contamination and control an axial position of a gate mark with high accuracy to avoid interference with other members and deterioration of strength when a cup shaped housing is injection molded by a resin.SOLUTION: A housing 7 for a fluid dynamic pressure bearing device according to the invention is a resin injection molding integrally having a cylindrical side part 7a and a bottom part 7b which closes one axial end of the side part 7a.
