PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a moving speed of an opening/closing member when moving toward an end of a moving range.SOLUTION: A power window device S includes a controlling mechanism 5 for controlling power supply to a motor 3 that rotates for moving window glass 2, and a signal output part that outputs a signal to the controlling mechanism 5. A control mode when controlling the power supply to the motor 3 is switched between: a first mode in which a moving speed of the window glass 2 is decelerated in a step before reaching a closed position and a second mode in which the moving speed of the window glass 2 in the step before reaching the closed position is controlled to be greater than the moving speed that is decelerated in the first mode in the step before reaching the closed position.
