Goods unit 10 manipulable by lift crane or similar lifting arrangement is produced in that one arranges a pallet by fastening, in the middle of a bottom piece 11, a lifting strap 12 designed to co-operate with a lift hook or similar lifting element. The lift force required during the handling is applied as a pointlike force acting on the midpoint of the bottom piece. The goods 13 are stacked on the bottom piece in the necessary number to give the unit the desired volume, and such that the lift strap coincides with the vertical centre axis of the thus constructed goods unit. A locking element 23 comprising a steering arrangement 24 is arranged in association with a part of the goods unit situated above its centre of gravity, in which the lift strap can be threaded, designed to maintain the vertical centre axis of the goods unit during the handling in a position essentially coinciding with the lift strap. <IMAGE> |
