PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acid group-containing polymer in which the increase of molecular weight and the change of color tones are sufficiently suppressed, and high in preservation stability, and a preservation method capable of suppressing the increase of the molecular weight of an acid group-containing polymer and the change of color tones.SOLUTION: Provided is an acid group-containing polymer having an acid group-containing monomer unit and a monomer unit having a polyalkylene glycol chain whose terminal is made of a hydroxyl group at the side chains, in the acid group-containing polymer, the neutralization ratio of the acid group being 40% or more to 91%. Also provided is a method for preserving an acid group-containing polymer in which an acid group-containing polymer having an acid group-containing monomer unit and a monomer unit having polyalkylene glycol chains in which the terminal being a hydroxyl group at the side chains, where the acid group-containing polymer is preserved at a temperature below 60°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
