The arrangement consists of a number of saw discs (1, 2, 3) which are mounted on separate drive shafts and which are mounted off-set from one another. The front two saws (1, 2) are mounted relative to the plane of the saw table so that each cuts into the thickness of a plank (8) which is moved over the saw table. The amount each blade cuts is less than half the thickness of the plank. The third saw blade (3) is placed so that it will cut the remaining thickness of the plank.
