PURPOSE:To efficiently manufacture numerous seals, by placing the seal materials in a row on a rest which can be moved in directions X, Y, providing an original picture which have images corresponding to the seals, photoelectrically detecting the images, and modulating a laser beam. CONSTITUTION:Numerous seal materials 10 are placed in a row by a mounting frame 6 on a rest 1 which can be moved in directions X, Y. An original picture 11, on which images such as characters to be engraved on the faces 10a of the seal materials are formed in black in a row at the same spacing as the seal materials 10, is provided to correspond to the seal materials 10. The rest 1 is moved along axes X, Y to perform scanning. Each image to be engraved is detected from the original picture 11 by a light projector 19 and a light receiver 20. The laser oscillation intensity of a laser oscillator 18 is modulated by a control circuit 21 depending on an image detection signal to engrave the image on the face 10a of the seal material 10. |
