摘要 <p>The rotor (A) of the asynchronous machine comprises a shaft (2) on which is mounted an insulation cylinder (3). This cylinder carries a tube (1) of magnetic material. Outside the magnetic tube is a further tube of non-magnetic but electrically conducting material (4). An insulation layer (5) separates the two tubes. The outer tube is typically of aluminium or copper. The construction eliminates laminations and an embedded winding carried in slots. Mfr. of the rotor is thus greatly simplified. The rotor enables operation with no slip at no load, and gives reduced radial attraction between stator and rotor. The conducting outer tube is pref. placed as close to the stator as possible to give the largest possible torque.</p>
