Core arrangement for transformer carries both the primary and the secondary winding around the entire periphery of the core and is designed for use as a magnetic type a.c. stabiliser, where automatic primary current limiting is required. The primary winding (5) of both iron cores (1, 4) is connected to the supply voltage source and extends around the entire periphery of the cores. The secondary winding (3) connected to the load, however only extends around the main iron core (1) whose saturation flux density is brought about via an arbitrary number of windings around it, prior to saturation of the second iron core (4) which is located between both windings (5, 3).
|
