The container (10) is for slurry taken by suction from slurry pits etc. Its rear wall is formed by a lid, for emptying. The container has a lining (18) of flexible material which is open at the rear, and may be inserted. The lining edge is fastened to the container wall (19) near the lid aperture. The fastening is carried out via a spring ring (22), inserted into a groove (21) in the container wall. The lining may be inverted, by feeding compressed air into the space between it and the container wall. A layer (23) of porous foam may be interposed between the container wall and the lining.
