<p>The horizontal radiator is for upwards directed heat radiation. It has an electric, air or water heating element. Between the heating element and radiator there is mounted a heat insulating body. A downwards dependent skirt surrounds the radiator in order to prevent convective heat emission. Preferably the heating element forms simultaneously the radiator. The heating element may consist of a panel, through which flows the heating medium, e.g. water. If an electric heating element is used, it may have a coating of resistive lacquer. The skirt may be an extension of the radiator housing, surrounding all constructional elements. Other constructional possibilities for the skirt are specified.</p> |
